Back home again!

We arrived home yesterday to nearly 4 feet of snow!!! We decided my "skateboard" looks more like a minivan than the Saturn. Daddy and Granty are out trying to get us cleared out today. Our WONDERFUL neighbors snow blowed most of the snow for us! It's still coming down today just in time for Santa to make his visit tonight. As we told Grant, Santa had fun vacationing in Hawaii too and he saved some of his visits for tonight!

Whale Watching

The last full day we spent in Hawaii we all went whale watching! Unfortunately we didn't get a great picture of one. Since I was holding Maggie in the sling I wasn't able to stand up at all so she and I didn't see any whales just a couple of tails. Peter and Grant however saw a whale jump entirely out of the water! Pretty cool!

Big night out

While in Hawaii Peter and I were able to go out on a couple of dates! Thanks to Grammy and Gary and Sue we enjoyed some special moments together!

Aqua Man!

The Wedding!

Here are some pictures from the wedding! You can see how beautiful the landscape is as well as the lovely couple. Afterward we all went to a restaurant together to celebrate. The boys were able to play on the beach while the adults tried to celebrate!

Santa!

Yesterday afternoon we spotted Santa boarding his boat to make some rounds around the island! Maggie got an up close and personal visit while Grant got a view from Daddy's shoulder's!

More from Hawaii

The last couple of days have been fantastic! The weather is just perfect! Crystal clear blue skies and water, warm toasty sun and an occasional adult beverage for Peter and I! Grant and Maggie have been having so much fun with their cousins and we're all super excited for the wedding this afternoon!

Aloha!

Greetings from Maui! We are having a wonderful time! Here are a few pictures from our first couple of days! I'm sorry to hear about everyone being snowed in back in Spokane! Feel free to shovel our driveway and/or sidewalks if you need some extra shoveling to do! Ryan, Dean and Sharon have had quite a go at getting our here with the bad weather. It looks like they will all make it in this weekend. The kids are doing great! Grant is LOVING the hotel pool which has a sandbox island in it! Maggie isn't super jazzed about being in the water but she LOVES to hang out by the pool in her super cute bathing suit! She even met a new baby friend! Can you belive that baby is her age! And I thought Maggie was a big baby!

Fire Station!

Grant's preschool class took a field trip to the fire station today! It was so cool! We got to see the fire trucks and even try on some of the gear! They pulled out the big ladder truck and raised the ladder up and down for the kids and had one fireman climb all the way to the top! Grant just loved it all! He was a bit frightened of the Fireman wearing the complete gear with the face mask but once the mask came off he was ready to try on everything. Here are a few pictures I took!

A very useful Mommy

Many of you know Grant's obsession with Thomas the tank engine. He loves to play trains ALL the time at any time of the day. We have gotten so used to playing Thomas that Peter and I often use their lingo in our everyday language. One of the things Sir Toppemhat (the railway controller) always says to the engines is that they are very "useful". This morning while I was checking my email, Grant sauntered up to me and said very matter of factly, "will you put on toons and be a very useful Mommy?" Of course I want to be a useful Mommy, I don't want to be sent to the scrap yard!

Trip to IN

Grant, Maggie and I just got back from a 10 day trip to IN! We had so much fun visiting friends and family. Grant and Maggie spent a lot of time with Grandma and Papa King, Aunt Susie and Uncle Chet, Uncle Phil and Aunt Lisa and all of their cousins. We got to celebrate Halloween there, visit Grammy Singleton and even got to see Busha! Grant got to play with Ava and Elsie at Aunt Amy and Uncle Brandon's house and he did lots of yard work with Papa!
